How to enable two-factor authentication in KeepSolid User Office?

If you wonder how to add an extra layer of security to your KeepSolid ID, check out our detailed guide. 

Note: When you enable this feature, you will be automatically logged out of your account on all your devices. When logging in, you’ll also need to provide a code instead of only entering your password.

1. Sign in to your account in your KeepSolid User Office.

2. Go to My Account in the pop-up menu on the left or just tapping your KeepSolid ID in the right upper corner.

3. Then press the Manage button to enter the Profile Settings menu.

4. To turn on the Two-Factor Authentication feature, find and press the Require password toggle button. The two-factor authentication with a code by email will be turned on automatically.

5. You can additionally enable 2FA with the Authenticator App to add another layer of security to your account. 

Authenticator App

To use an Authenticator App as your second factor of authentication, you need to install it on your mobile device and link to your KeepSolid ID.

4.1.1. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, enable the Authenticator App option.

4.1.2. Verify your account by entering the 8-digit code that we’ve sent to your email and clicking Verify in the Verify Your Account window.

4.1.3. A screen with QR code will pop up.

4.1.4. Download the Authenticator App on your mobile device, open it, and use it to scan the aforementioned QR-code (in this manual, we use Google Authenticator). 

4.1.5. The Authenticator App should now provide a six-digit authentication code.

4.1.6. On the pop-up screen with QR code, click Next.

4.1.7. In the new pop-up window, enter your authentication code from the app, and press Confirm.

4.1.8. That’s it. You’ve linked the Authenticator App to your KeepSolid ID. Each time you log in to your account on a new device, you’ll need to provide a six-digit authentication code from your Authenticator App.

Also, you should download your back-up codes and keep them somewhere safe. You can use them to log in to your KeepSolid ID in case you lose access to your 2FA credentials.

Code by Email

4.2.1. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, enable the Code by Email option.

4.2.2. In the new pop-up window, enter the Authentication Code that we’ve sent to your email > click Verify.

4.2.3. That’s it. You’ve linked your email to your KeepSolid ID. Each time you log in to your account on a new device, you’ll need to provide a six-digit authentication code from your email.

Note: Some KeepSolid apps don’t support 2FA:

Using any of these? 

For users with Social Login: You must create your KeepSolid ID password before enabling two-factor authentication. 

For all other users: If 2FA is already enabled, depending on the chosen second factor, enter the below combinations in the password field to access your account:
